Party Talks Prove Successful

The strike is over. Thank goodness!

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed breastfeeding. It isn't a "yippee, time to eat!" joy, but a cuddly, stay connected time. It is also the best nutrition that Ren could have.

In the fear of it being a sucking issue - maybe an ear infection - I went to visit my ND. She simply said, "She's done [breastfeeding]." like I should celebrate this pain in the ass method of feeding. She checked her ears (which were too waxing to diagnose), gave me some fish oil supplement samples for kids and sent me on my way. I was devistated! For the record: Breastfeeding, and especially extended breastfeeding, is very dear to a mother's heart and discussing this issue should be done with TLC.

So, after having lots of cuddle and get reconnected time, Ren started breastfeeding after 3 days (Tues morning to Fri afternoon) just like Dr. Sears says in his book. Whew!
