Yes, when you watch enough Dinosaur Train on PBS you will get the gut-busting honor of listening to a song called "My Crest" sung by an Elvisaurus. With dino-hips ashakin' the Elvisaurus is quite the hoot. It gets it name from the crest on its head. According to Dino Data: The children's dinosaur book "The Newest and Coolest Dinosaurs" by Philip J. Currie and Colleayn O. Mastin contains the generic name Elvisaurus as a synonym forCrylophosaurus ellitio first used by Holmes in 1993: "To some people the crest looks like an [sic] snow shovel, but to others it looks like an Elvis Presley style 'jelly roll' hairdo, which is why some jokingly refer to this dinosaur as Elvisaurus.
Since this discovery was made in the Antarctic, this discovery made this dinosaur a 'cool dude', just like Elvis." Although the name Elvisaurus has no formal nomenclatural standing, it is a published name with an etymology and real material associated with it, and therefore considered a genus.
