Damn Fine Women

LIFTID is Ladies in Faith Together - Idaho. It is a group of women, mainly but not exclusively moms and wives, who meet together for fellowship, faith sharing, venting, event coordination, and prayer. We are currently working our way through Kimberly Hahn's book Chosen and Cherished. It is about our vocation as wives.

Being a wife is tough. Being a wife means you are married to a man (usually). Men, well, can be challenging UNLESS you are married to my husband. There is no end to the adventure, the gentle ribbing, and really bad jokes. What is excellent, is that he works hard - plays hard - prays with the family. He makes it possible for me to have my full time (albiet non-monetary) job. Right on.


I would also like to add this unrelated piece of information. Ren is developing her pincher grasp - using the pointy finger and thumb to grab at things. I would like to take this very brief moment to say Thanks Lord for the pointy finger in particular because it really comes in handy. (He already knows that I am very, very grateful for the thumb.)
